The Production Control Coordinator is a key support role within the production planning and operations function. This position focuses on coordinating, tracking, and monitoring production activities to ensure customer orders move efficiently through the manufacturing process and are completed on time. The role works closely with production planners, operations, quality, materials, and customer service to maintain accurate job status, support schedule adherence, and resolve day to day execution issues. This role is ideal for an early career professional or recent graduate looking to grow in production planning or supply chain. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: Track and monitor production work orders from release through completion, ensuring accurate and timely status updates. Coordinate with operations, quality, and materials teams to support the smooth movement of materials and work in progress (WIP) through production. Maintain and update production schedules in the ERP/MRP system and supporting tracking tools. Identify potential delays, material shortages, or capacity constraints and escalate issues to the Production Control Planner or Operations Manager. Assist with daily production meetings by preparing job status updates, reports, and action items. Ensure production travelers, certifications, and required documentation are complete and aligned with job requirements. Interface with customer service and sales regarding order status, schedule changes, and expedited requests. Support reporting on key performance indicators such as on time delivery (OTD), lead time, and WIP aging. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to production flow, visibility, and data accuracy. Provide administrative and coordination support to production planning and scheduling activities. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
