About The Position

The Production Control Coordinator manages the end-to-end execution of customer orders and ensures on-time delivery across a dynamic, high-mix, low-volume production setting. This role is critical in aligning production priorities, materials, and cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations while maintaining efficiency and accuracy within the ERP system. The coordinator will own on-time delivery performance for assigned customers, establish and adjust production priorities based on customer demand, create, review, and release manufacturing jobs in Epicor, and utilize MRP outputs to align supply and demand. They will also coordinate quick-turn and prototype orders, ensure material readiness, proactively resolve shortages, act as a central point of coordination across Engineering, Quality, Production, and Sales, monitor job progress, communicate order status, support cost awareness, and maintain data integrity within Epicor.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in production control, planning, or manufacturing
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing demands
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and execution
  • High school diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Epicor ERP strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own on-time delivery performance for assigned customers, managing orders from release through shipment
  • Establish and adjust production priorities based on customer demand, lead times, and capacity constraints
  • Create, review, and release manufacturing jobs in Epicor, ensuring accuracy of BOMs, routings, and due dates
  • Utilize MRP outputs to align supply and demand, including job releases, rescheduling, and material planning
  • Coordinate quick-turn and prototype orders, ensuring rapid alignment across materials, engineering, and production
  • Ensure material readiness and proactively resolve shortages, constraints, or engineering gaps
  • Act as a central point of coordination across Engineering, Quality, Production, and Sales
  • Monitor job progress and production flow, removing bottlenecks and expediting orders as needed
  • Communicate order status, risks, and recovery plans to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Support cost awareness by reviewing labor and material usage and escalating discrepancies
  • Maintain data integrity within Epicor, ensuring accurate job status, inventory transactions, and reporting
