The Production Control and Planning Manager will report to the Plant Manager and oversee planning, purchasing, shipping and receiving. This senior manager will manage work assignments in staffing, scheduling, coordinating and planning across various sections of remanufacturing.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in a Production Planning role
  • 3-5 years' experience managing people
  • 4-year degree in business management, production management, or related, OR equivalent experience
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan and establish production schedules and follow up performance against estimates
  • Responsible for setting/recommending inventory levels to prevent stock outs
  • Monitor and control raw materials, work in progress and finished goods inventory to appropriate levels
  • Develop and execute detailed production schedules based on demand and inventory levels
  • Monitor production capacity and report capacity constraints to leadership team
  • Work closely with commercial team to ensure accurate demand information is captured
  • Manage Shipping and Receiving teams
  • Manage Purchasing and Material Handlers
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain and other leadership team members to manage and control costs in remanufacturing operations
  • Recommend new policies or procedures as necessary based on performance metrics and analysis
