About The Position

Requirements

  • Experience with cupping and quality control processes.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot roasting machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on consistency and quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain coffee roasting equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Roast coffee beans according to specified profiles, ensuring consistency in taste and quality.
  • Monitor roasting process and make necessary adjustments to temperature, time, and airflow to achieve desired roast levels.
  • Perform routine quality control tests, including cupping, to assess flavor, aroma, and body of roasted beans.
  • Maintain detailed roasting logs, including batch data, temperatures, roast times, and any adjustments made.
  • Assist with the development of new coffee blends and roast profiles based on market demand and feedback.
  • Ensure roasted coffee is properly stored and packaged to maintain freshness.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw and roasted coffee beans and communicate any supply needs to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of roasting and storage areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet daily roasting targets and optimize workflow.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on roasting equipment as needed.
  • Perform weekly and monthly maintenance on roasting equipment.
