About The Position

The Pictsweet Company is currently seeking a Full-Time 2nd Shift Production Clerk to join our frozen vegetable packaging facility in Ogden, UT. This position is responsible for performing all clerical duties in the repack department. These duties include but are not limited to answering phones, perform basic computer operations with spreadsheets, word processing, or other programs, coordinates office functions with supervisors. Schedule is 2nd Shift approximately 3:45 p.m.-2:15 a.m.

Requirements

  • Must have 2 years’ experience performing basic computer operations with spreadsheets, word processing or other programs.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Must posses an understanding of computer processing fundamentals and be computer proficient.
  • Must have basic mathematical reasoning ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals).
  • Must be able to work in cold environment
  • Must be able to read or interpret documents such as safety rules/ signs, procedures, etc.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods in a cold, damp environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with a manufacturing environment desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provides accurate and timely input of production data into the Inform System. Prior to the end of each shift completes an account comparison of job code man-hours between Inform and Kronos systems. Accounts must balance within + or – 2 hours.
  • Coordinates office functions with supervisors.
  • Ensures product “tags” are collected and entered timely into the Inform System.
  • Answers incoming calls and relays messages as appropriate.
  • Work with PKMS, inputs scheduled orders into PKMS, and inputs the next shift into PKMS and ensures accurateness of orders.
  • Ensures all bins of product are in proper status at end of production run.
  • Ensures lines are not short of product and proper grades are sent to line.
  • Work directly with scheduled orders and writes orders with PC# for scheduled changes.
  • Ensures primary and secondary product grades are used for orders and is able to release orders and assign hoppers as required.
  • Tasks warehouse drivers for necessary product.
  • Communicates with Repack and Warehouse Management about product issues.
  • Ensures all individual totes of product are in proper status at the end of shift.
  • Communicate country of origin to Repack Machine Operators.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by supervision.
