Responsibilities

  • Maintain Cleanliness and Safety: Ensure assigned areas are cleaned and sanitized using approved processes to meet food safety standards.
  • Sanitize Equipment and Facilities: Clean and sanitize processing and production equipment, as well as food processing areas, according to established job standards and SOPs.
  • Operate Specialized Equipment: Use tools such as floor scrubbers, scissor lifts, and other sanitation equipment to perform cleaning tasks effectively.
  • Prevent Cross-Contamination: Follow strict procedures to protect products, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces, and packaging during sanitation activities.
  • Adhere to SOPs: Comply with all company Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning equipment and facilities.
  • Facility Upkeep: Remove trash, mop floors as needed, clean floor drains, and maintain exterior areas requiring attention.
  • Complete Documentation: Accurately record all sanitation activities and work orders to ensure compliance and traceability.
  • Maintain Sanitation Equipment: Keep all cleaning tools and equipment, including floor scrubbers and vacuums, in proper working condition.
  • Flexibility and Team Support: Collaborate with team members and assist in other areas as needed, ensuring smooth operations and shared success.
  • You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
