About The Position

The Production Associate role at Aerotek involves working in a climate-controlled food manufacturing plant, focusing on the packaging, labeling, and stacking of products while adhering to safety and quality standards. This position is contract-to-hire and requires attention to detail and the ability to perform various production tasks efficiently.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Understanding of lockout procedures.
• Ability to identify and discard damaged or dirty boards and candy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and hand stack cases on skids or mods using stacking patterns as a guide.
• Shrink wrap skids from top to bottom, ensuring shrink wrap does not touch the floor.
• Prepare and clean the work area, ensuring it is organized.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and replace tape on tape machines while wearing Kevlar gloves.
• Feed boards into the extruder end to end, ensuring perfect alignment without gaps or overlaps.
• Remove and inspect boards of candy from the extruder, discarding any imperfect pieces.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble extruders, following all safety procedures.
• Perform screen checks as required and report any issues to the operator.
• Assist with general housekeeping tasks, including cleaning washrooms and extruder screens, and providing relief coverage for other employees.
