About The Position

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL we do business as: Olathe Millworks, Warren Brother Sash & Door, River City Millworks respectfully.) Description: We are growing, and seeking a Production Associate in our millwork division. You will perform a variety of millwork duties, including operating a variety of machines and tools. Ideally, you are experienced in operating a planer and/or rip saw to mill hardwood and softwood lumber. You understand basic math, to include using fractions, to mill lumber to customer requirements. What You Will Do: Operate machines and tools (planers, rip saws, and chop saws) Inspect lumber prior to milling to verify order. Use measuring instruments such as, but not limited to rules, gauges, or calipers. Mill lumber accurately, according to each corresponding customer order. Comply with OSHA safety regulations when operating and maintaining machines. Lift and carry products weighing 75-100 lbs. with helper as required. You will be required to work both inside and outside in extremes of cold, heat and humidity, depending on the season and location You will be exposed to modest amounts of sawdust and noise. Requirements

You have manufacturing experience (machine operator, assembly, machinist, or similar.)
