About The Position

The Production Associate role involves understanding and adhering to safety protocols, assisting CPU customers, managing loading documentation and photos, utilizing various crating and packaging materials for secure transport, operating forklifts and other lifting equipment, assisting with inventory, maintaining continuous improvement practices, visually inspecting work for quality, and loading/unloading painted parts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Must be trainable on forklift
  • Must be trainable on crane
  • Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment
  • Some knowledge of a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to wear PPE equipment including fitted respirator.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Understands and follows safety rules and precautions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Assist CPU customers
  • Takes loading photos
  • Uploads loading photos
  • Scans loading documentation
  • Assist with location job order on the production floor
  • Employs a range of crating and packaging resources, including metal bands and protective coverings, to ensure parts are securely fastened and safeguarded during transport.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts and other lifting equipment.
  • Responsible for each lift, deciding when to check actual vs maximum allowable trailer load.
  • Assists with inventory counts as required
  • Maintains practices for continuous improvement within the work area.
  • Utilize scanning equipment
  • Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality Systems
  • Provide cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste
  • Willing/able to work overtime
  • Ability read, write, and follow posted schedules
  • Loads and unloads painted parts as needed.
  • Inspects painted parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • May be assigned other projects or tasks by the team leader.
