About The Position

Tasks PROFILE: Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Monitor machinery used in the production process and assist machine operators. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards, BOM, and test. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using non-motorized equipment. Stop machines when malfunctions occur, clear jams, and report unresolved malfunctions to a machine operator, lead, maintenance, and then management. Secure finished packaged items by gluing, stapling, wrapping, taping, or attaching fastener. Mark or tag identification on parts. Load and unload materials, product, or packaging from machines, containers, conveyors, and conveyances. Help team members by performing duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment. Perform TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) per requirements. May require recording information such as weight, count, time, scrap and date packaged. Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels to ensure all shifts requirements are met. Perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities/Expectations: Communicate with Supervisors, peers, or subordinates: provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person. Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality. Learn all manual tasks performed within the department. Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures and following department specific quality control processes and procedures. Treat people with dignity and respect. Conduct all business with integrity. Adhere to Rust-Oleum Corporation Quality principles and participate in all departmental and company-wide Quality activities. Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Operation and Control — Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
  • Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Coordination — Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
  • Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
