About The Position

As Production Associate following list of qualifications is not intended to be complete but should serve to guide candidates in this position. It should be understood that work outside your area might be assigned due to fluctuation in the workload. Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be willing and able to work additional hours which may include overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
  • Must be willing to accept accountability and work well in a team.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator)
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work a machine paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include: Heat/Cold temperatures (inclement weather) Indoor/Outdoor environment Dusty environment Noisy environment Frequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processes Elevated Places
  • Must pass a physical abilities test with or without reasonable accommodation with the ability to: Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach at shoulder level and below shoulder level Frequently climb stairs and/or ladders Frequently lift and/or carry up-to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up-to 81 pounds Frequently push/pull up to 36 pounds of force
  • Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high sanitation level of area assigned and allocated to individual’s responsibility (FPZ's).
  • Willing to work necessary overtime required and seven days a week if scheduled. (including holidays)
  • Willing to assist wherever necessary plant wide. (including repair and mill repairs).
  • Must be able to complete and maintain the necessary records (inventories, rail and truck loading and unloading data, and others as required).
  • Must maintain high levels of safety and sanitation performance in and around the grain elevators and other areas assigned.
  • May be assigned other duties by the supervisor.
  • Must sign off on classification procedure when qualified on all aspect of the job.
  • Must be able to maintain effective communications within your own departments and all other departments (Lab, Office, Warehouse, and Elevator).
  • Must be willing to be the final QA protection for Ardent Mills to the customer
  • Must work safely, following all safety procedures, taking all precautions, and using all required safety equipment.
  • Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's). Also ensure that only approved equipment such as brushes are used.
  • Check all machinery after starting to insure everything is in proper working order before.
  • Assist with repair when needed.
  • Assist whenever necessary including sanitation.
  • Ensure vacuum cleaning system is functioning properly.
  • Assist with other departments and employees as necessary or directed.
  • Above all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.
