About The Position

The Zumiez Product and Brand Services (PBS) team is responsible for over 30 unique brands spanning various categories including men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, and snow/skate hard goods. These brands are comprised of private label, licensed, and owned brands. The PBS Sourcing and Production team is looking for a Production Associate to support our raw materials and production workflow. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑obsessed, and loves keeping information clean and accurate. We need someone who thrives in Excel, communicates clearly with vendors and internal partners, and enjoys keeping multiple calendars on track. This person should be eager to learn how product moves from concept to delivery and excited to grow a career in production and supply chain operations. The Production Associate supports the booking, tracking, and management of raw materials for assigned categories while helping ensure on-time delivery and compliance across the supply base. This role partners with vendors and internal teams to manage raw material commitments, maintain social compliance documentation, support purchase order creation, and help keep product calendars on track.

Requirements

  • College degree; preferably with course work related to textiles and sourcing and production.
  • 1+ years of production related experience is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, and intermediate Excel skills
  • Ability and willingness to work hard in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to reprioritize quickly and efficiently to rapidly changing needs and situations
  • High attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Book, track, and manage raw material commitments with vendors
  • Communicate directly with vendors and buyers, and internal teams regarding raw material needs, changes, and follow‑up
  • Monitor and maintain the raw material contingency checkbook and flag risks or shortages as needed
  • Ensure raw material delivery aligns with production timelines and calendar dates
  • Assist in monitoring social compliance requirements and ensure vendors remain compliant with company standards
  • Review incoming social audits, identify issues, and follow up with the third‑party audit partner to ensure corrective actions are addressed when needed
  • Help maintain accurate compliance documentation and audit tracking
  • Assist team as needed with writing and maintaining finished goods purchase orders
  • Support multiple time & action (TAC) calendars and help ensure deadlines are met
  • Communicate production or raw material risks to internal partners and escalate issues when needed
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Buying, Design, Production, and Sourcing
  • Support multiple product calendars and manage deadlines with both internal teams and vendors
  • Assist on projects as assigned
