About The Position

The MST Associate is responsible for packaging tobaccos using a variety of lines and mobile equipment while maintaining the highest quality, regulatory and safety standards. The normal shift is 40 hours per week in a manufacturing environment. No travel is expected. This position may be assigned special projects, as determined by the Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, rags, brushes, grease guns, air hose, water hose, shovel, broom, scraper, hand jack, forklift, tobacco fork, spray bottles, utility knife, hand cart, etc.
Ability to move/lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
Ability to spend the required shift hours (8-12 depending on shift) standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
May require climbing of ladders
Solid reading skills, basic math skills and reasoning skills

Responsibilities

Adhere to company policies on Safety and Personnel Protective Equipment (which may include safety glasses, face shield, gloves, ear plugs, protective toe footwear, etc.)
Perform job duties and maintain required documentation in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices
Work as part of a team operating various tobacco manufacturing production lines.
Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment in a safe manner in accordance with established company procedures using appropriate personal protective equipment.
Responsible for being knowledgeable of and acting in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including, among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations
General awareness knowledge of the ISO9001 Quality Management System requirements, company Quality Policy and your contributions to the effectiveness of the QMS
