Production Associate (1st Shift, 7am-3pm)

About The Position

As a Production Associate, you ll be part of our Manufacturing Plant team located in Hampstead, MD. You ll get to: Load powdered metal green parts onto sintering furnaces from the compacting presses. Unload powdered metal sintered parts from the furnaces. Oil impregnate, oil/vito dip, and/or vibratory powdered metal parts. Finish pack powdered metal parts per operation sheet. Operate class parts manufacturing cell. Read operation routings. Use basic inspection equipment. Meet production standards, striving for high quality but also with a focus on safety. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Basic ability to perform basic math – add, subtract, and multiply whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Basic mechanical ability
  • Strong orientation toward safety, quality, and continuous improvement demonstrated by a work history of safe performance, accuracy and attention to detail in the work performed, and constructive problem solving and suggestions for improvement
  • Ability to handle continuous standing of 8 to 10 hours daily
  • Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 33 lbs independently and up to 70 lbs with assistance
  • Availability to work daily and weekly overtime as required

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Quality measurement experience desirable
  • Training experience desirable
