About The Position

Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking full-time entry-level production team members for their Arcadia Oriented Strand Board Mill (OSB) in Simsboro, Louisiana. The role involves operating manufacturing equipment, performing maintenance, and ensuring quality production in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willingness and ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team setting.
• Willingness and ability to cross train to learn new jobs and skills.
• Able to perform basic math and use computers.
• Ability to perform essential job functions including climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
• Willingness to work in Simsboro, LA without requiring relocation assistance.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably two (2) years employment experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment that produces oriented strand board.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and clean-up on equipment.
• Work safely and effectively in a team environment.
• Problem solve and troubleshoot equipment and issues regularly.
• Participate in ongoing process improvement in the work area.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to manage product flow.
• Perform quality checks to ensure production of a quality product.
• Complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping.
• Attend team meetings and regular training sessions.
