About The Position

Job Summary: Operates machines and production equipment independently in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment and may instruct or coach others. We are looking for a talented Production Associate – Sub-Assembly to join our Distribution business in (Henderson, CO). This role will make an impact in the following ways: Operate production equipment independently in accordance with safety, quality, and productivity requirements Manufacture and assemble products to defined engineering standards, cycle times, and customer specifications Perform quality inspections, identify non-conforming material, and follow standard work and quality procedures (SPC, poka-yoke, visual standards) Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping, machine cleaning, and planned operator maintenance Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, including stop-work authority and hazard reporting Communicate effectively with team members, skilled trades, and support staff to support production goals Instruct, coach, and support less-experienced team members as an informal resource Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, process, and material flow

Requirements

  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment independently and meet production and quality targets
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety fundamentals, and quality systems
  • Experience identifying equipment issues and working with support teams to address repairs
  • Ability to make sound decisions, manage complexity, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Willingness to complete required training and ongoing personal development
  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
