About The Position

The Dry End Operator-Stacker role at Pactiv Evergreen is responsible for facilitating the movement of scrap materials within the manufacturing environment. This position involves assisting in the management of scrap levels, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, and ensuring effective communication with team members and supervisors. The role requires working a rotating 12-hour schedule and is essential for the efficient operation of the production line.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in forklift operation and safety.
  • Ability to work safely and communicate professionally with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to determine product quality, including carton malformations and structural integrity.
  • Hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient for product handling.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all documented procedures for the position.
  • Capture scrap in the oven area to move it to the stock prep area.
  • Assist the Line 6 Operator by moving pallets to the line and finished goods to the warehouse.
  • Restock boxes at the end of the line.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to ensure a safe work area.
  • Place empty hoppers at the oven exit for machine start-up.
  • Empty trash cans as required.
  • Backfill Material Handler position as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with other operators and plant supervision.
  • Inform Natural Team Leaders and/or Production Supervisor of any problems.
  • Maintain an excellent safety record and attendance record.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
