About The Position

Sheboygan Paper Box Company is looking for a dependable Gluer Inspector / Packer to join our Finishing Department in Sheboygan, WI. After a structured training period, this role supports folder/gluer and window machine operations by feeding materials, inspecting product quality, and packing finished cartons. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, rotating tasks throughout the shift, and being part of a team that takes pride in producing high-quality packaging. Shift: 3rd Monday – Thursday | 3:00pm-1:00am Consistent schedule with three-day weekends. Compensation: $21/hr (plus $1.50/hr shift premium)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Willingness to rotate tasks and learn different responsibilities throughout the shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Feed materials and pack finished product on folder/gluer and window machines.
  • Rotate hourly between feeding, inspecting, case making, and palletizing duties.
  • Inspect cartons for defects and ensure only quality product moves forward.
  • Stop and start machinery as needed and assist with clearing jams safely.
  • Read and follow job tickets to understand job requirements and specifications.
  • Assist with carton repairs, hand stripping, and flat packing when required.
  • Pack finished product accurately at the delivery end of machines.
  • Complete required paperwork and enter job activity into the PDE system.
  • Perform basic material handling, including relocating loads within the department.
  • Guillotine liners and dividers for orders as needed.
  • Replace recycle bins and assist with housekeeping duties such as cleaning glue pots, machinery, and work areas.
  • Support training of new employees when needed.
  • Follow safety, quality, and cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.
