Perform support functions in various departments, which may include some or all of the following: Assist other team members with physically moving/carrying materials from one location to another Operate mobile equipment to transport materials as directed Utilize hand tools to assemble small component made-to-stock parts (ex. hinges), while meeting or beating established production quotas Prep rails by attaching all gaskets, basic hardware, and setting blocks to the rail for the assembly process Pull materials for manufacturing and ensure physical inventory records are maintained Prepare and protect products, as needed, for the Packing Department Prep parts for the finishing process Remove bars from the dip tank following its cycle and hang bars on racks for the drying process Move parts and extrusions in and out of the ovens Support the Warehousing Team to pull inventory, as needed, according to the production schedule Perform physical counts of inventory on hand Perform inspections, as needed, to ensure quality parts; immediately report damaged or scratched materials Provide support for thermal break machining functions Assemble various fenestration products, in alignment with the production schedule Visually check parts and/or glass for scratches, dings, and dents prior to assembly Assist with housekeeping, organization, and continuous improvement projects as assigned Maintain a clean and safe environment Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment or related education
  • Previous experience with hand tools
  • Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to read a tape measure

Nice To Haves

  • For the current opening, related experience in a Machining role is preferred.
  • Experience with reading shop drawings
  • General computer skills
