About The Position

As a Soil Laundry Sorter, you will be an essential part of the laundry process’s first step. Your main responsibility is to sort soiled garments and linens, making sure they are accurately categorized for proper processing. With your keen attention to detail, efficiency, and physical endurance, you’ll help keep our laundry facility running smoothly.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Demonstrate a highly reliable work performance record
• Have dependable transportation to consistently report to scheduled shifts
• Meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for up to 10 hours per day, bending, twisting, squatting, repetitive hand motions (such as grasping), and lifting a minimum of 15 pounds
• Perform all duties safely and in compliance with OSHA standards and directives
• Promptly report any unsafe conditions or practices to management
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled garments and linens by color, fabric type, and laundering needs.
• Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage, separating those that require special treatment or repairs.
• Operate sorting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare and transfer counted soil items through the industrial washing and drying stages.
• Maintain a clean and organized sorting area.
• Support the laundry process by assisting with additional tasks as needed.
