About The Position

Joining Collins Aerospace isn't just about finding a job; it's about embarking on a journey to redefine the future of aerospace technology. This position is for a grinder/deburrer in our machining department. Individual is responsible for prepping parts before and after machine. We have a brand-new state-of-the-art facility which includes new equipment, a cafeteria, onsite fitness gym, golf simulator, outdoor tennis court, basketball court, and pickleball court. Your schedule will be Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with overtime on a business need basis.

Requirements

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials are readily available at workstations to prevent production delays.
• Identify and remove waste from the production process, contributing to efficiency.
• Manage the timely flow of information, including Kanban cards and status boards, to ensure proper material supply and production flow.
• Replenish tools and equipment, and potentially assist with changeovers.
• Demonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools.
• Accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.
• Responsible for quality product standards with no defects.
• Ensure creation of parts meet customer deadlines and expectations.
• Comply with applicable elements of quality systems.
• Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events as required.
• Participate in audits.
• Acquire applicable skill/knowledge/certifications as required.
• Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in clean and orderly condition.
• Comply with all rules and regulations of RTX, including, but not limited to: Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Human Resources.
• Examine methods and results for conformance to standards and reinstruct as required.
• Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
