About The Position

As a Production Associate III at Sonoco, you will be responsible for inspecting products throughout your shift and notifying the shift production lead and quality technician of any quality defects. You will maintain a clean and safe work area and machinery, enter production and quality information into production software, and communicate pertinent information to the next shift. Your role will also include performing clean-up, painting, and housekeeping duties, establishing effective work relationships, participating in teams for continuous improvement, and complying with job safety practices. Additionally, you will stage and maintain packaging materials, assist in maintaining production equipment, provide on-the-job training to assigned personnel, and conduct inspections of in-process materials and finished products.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing experience and/or training (2+ years).
  • Ability to read and comprehend standard work instructions.
  • Strong attendance record and punctuality.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Support and follow the guidelines of the food safety system.
  • Stage and maintain packaging materials and follow correct packaging/banding procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining production equipment as required.
  • Provide on-the-job training of assigned personnel.
  • Conduct inspection of in-process materials and finished products.
  • Replenish supplies and materials required for assigned area.
