About The Position

The Production Associate is responsible for operating formulation and packaging equipment in a chemical manufacturing plant. This role involves performing various production tasks under close supervision, including palletizing, bagging, and labeling, while ensuring that the finished products meet quality assurance standards. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to operate and understand electronic controlled equipment.
• Understanding of pneumatics, pressure, and the pumping of liquids or willingness to learn.
• Forklift Driver Certification.
• Ability to stand for long periods in varying temperatures.
• Must pass OSHA respirator physical.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Operates processing, packaging, and blending equipment.
• Operates forklifts, hoists, and other material handling equipment.
• Assists in equipment clean-out and moving packaging equipment.
• Produces finished products conforming to quality assurance processes and standards.
• Assembles cartons and liners, labels containers, and fills containers from spouts or chutes.
• Weighs containers and adjusts quantities appropriately.
• Affixes caps to containers or inserts bags into bag sealers.
• Cleans packaging containers and stamps codes onto containers.
• Maintains a clean work environment using good housekeeping habits.
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
