About The Position

Chief Buildings is seeking a Production Assistant to join the Chief team. In this role, you will support general machine operations across various production areas, including equipment setup, parts processing, and final inspection. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth workflow and supporting production goals through hands-on involvement with machinery and materials. To be successful in this position, you should be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Foundational understanding of hand tools, including tape measures, squares, and protractors.
Proficient in interpreting fabrication drawings.
Strong mathematical skills, particularly with fractions and decimals.

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience in metal fabrication and operating overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

Set up multiple machines for production and collaborate effectively with team members to maintain a cohesive workflow.
Execute regular maintenance tasks on designated machinery and ensure accurate completion of documentation and computer-based data entry.
Maintain compliance with quality control procedures by monitoring processes and inspecting outputs.
Carry out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority, contributing to a clean and hazard-free workspace.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
