About The Position

As a Production Assistance at Bren-Tronics, part of EnerSys supports manufacturing floor operations by preparing materials, maintaining inventory, performing quality checks, and assisting machine operators, often serving as an entry-level role for production roles such as Assemblers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Two to three years’ experience as a Production Assistant or similar role
  • Experience in manufacturing is required
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis. Anything heavier will be done with the assistance of a mechanical device or with the assistance of another employee.
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able and willing to wear a respirator.
  • This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Performs various types of soldering including surface mount, thru-hole, and hand-soldering such as wire soldering with wire gauge and solder small surface mount technology component replacement and installation.
  • Perform multiple computer-based functional tests and other functional tests concurrently.
  • Assembler moving between different supervisors and projects where is needed.
  • Communicate material shortages and/or abnormal failures, monitor until resolution is complete.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and report damaged equipment; contact supervisor/line leader if supplies are needed.
  • Clean and inspect assembles and/or sub-assemblies in conformance to manufacturing quality standards and initial products as required.
  • Review and preserve work instructions for engineering configuration compliance.
  • Safeguard confidential company information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Additional duties as assigned
