About The Position

The Part-Time Production Assistant is a hands-on, collaborative team member who supports the technical and production needs of the Lenfest Center’s three performance venues as well as occasional events across campus. This role assists with the setup, operation, and breakdown of production elements, ensuring that safety and technical standards are maintained during rehearsals and events. The schedule is variable and will adapt to the Center’s production calendar, including evenings and weekends. Job Description: Assist with all technical aspects of Lenfest Center events, including, but not limited to, set up and removal of sound, lighting, projection, and stage equipment. Act as stagehand for productions. Act as sound or lighting operator. Serve as stage manager for select events. Act as a representative of the Center, ensuring technical and safety standards during rehearsals and events. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: The schedule is variable and will adapt to the Center’s production calendar, including evenings and weekends. This position works 29 or fewer hours per week and less than 999 hours in your anniversary year. Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Two years of experience in a live entertainment production environment is preferred. Working knowledge of sound and lighting setup and troubleshooting. Ability to understand client requests and fulfill them effectively. Familiarity with ETC EOS lighting consoles and Yamaha digital soundboards is desired. OSHA 10 certification preferred. Willingness to train the right candidate who demonstrates most of the required skills.
