About The Position

Athea Laboratories, a leader in specialty chemical product manufacturing, is seeking a Production Assistant. This position is located at the Athea-Cornell facility.

This person is responsible for assisting the machine operator in the production of intermediate materials and finished chemical products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Ability to lift to 35 pounds
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written & verbal instructions
• Ability to count and do basic arithmetic
• Able to use hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, mallets, etc.)
• Must wear all required personal protective equipment (e.g. Tyvek overalls, foot protection, eye/face protection, hand protection)

Responsibilities

• Closing containers of chemical product
• Stacking, placing, and handling materials
• Packaging filled containers
• Labeling containers
• Retrieving and transporting empty containers, pallets of completed product, and other components using a cart or pallet jack
• Cleaning and sanitizing equipment
• Retrieving production-related paperwork
