The Production Assembly Technician reports to the Team Leader and assembles parts into finished commercial foodservice equipment. This role involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to determine the necessary materials, tools, and equipment needed for assembly. The technician will also be responsible for the correct use of handheld tools, pneumatic tools, and assembly fixtures, as well as reading and interpreting wiring diagrams to wire electrical components. The position requires the use of various measuring, locating, and testing tools to maximize throughput while minimizing scrap and material losses. Quality checks and appearance checks of material and finished goods are essential, and the technician must be willing to cross-train in other assembly areas when necessary to meet changing customer demand. Following all safety procedures and supporting a culture of a safe and healthy workplace is crucial, along with maintaining proper housekeeping of the work center.
