About The Position

As a member of the production team, the Seat assembler will be responsible for assembling and/or fitting parts together to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or conveyor line. May include operations requiring the use of simple hand tools and/or power or special assembly tools.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment requirements of drug screen, physical, and background check.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• One year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Repetitive gripping and use of hands.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble seat components according to specifications and instructions.
• Identify and report any problems related to the product, process, and quality system.
• Assure Safety and Quality standards are followed at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by adhering to Lear’s '5S' and 'World Class Housekeeping' standards.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals, performance goals, and objectives.
