Performs complex assembly assignments in support of GEHC product manufacturing. Personally accountable to the people around them, through learning and adapting in a collaborative, team-based production line environment. Constantly pursuing quality and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or local equivalent with 1 year of manufacturing experience or 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Must be able to physically lift (floor to waist, waist to crown level, and horizontally)
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform frequent simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulation, neck rotation, and neck flexion frequently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to twist, push/pull, reach at, above and below shoulder height frequently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to frequently stoop, bend, squat and kneel throughout the workday
  • Must be able to stand/sit continuously throughout the day
  • Must be able to ascend/descend/balance occasionally on portable step stool

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in manufacturing, Engineering, or Technology related fields
  • Experience in medical manufacturing or other highly regulated industry preferred
  • Local candidates will be given preference
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills and ability to navigate online instructions
  • Black belt in Lean Six Sigma

Responsibilities

  • Assemble OEC 3D and MD C-arm imaging devices by thoroughly following work instructions
  • Accurately record tool information within GE Systems
  • Maintain daily production output
  • Provide strong individual contributions to team goals
  • Interface with other departments to ensure orderly flow of product
  • Execute training plans
  • Identify and report defects in assigned area
  • Perform basic root cause analysis and problem resolution
  • Utilize basic technical communications throughout the process for production
  • Provide evaluation/constructive feedback in the development of internal and external engineering, manufacturing, or service documentation
  • Participate in LEAN process improvement activities to improve quality, process flow, and cycle or TAKT times
  • Comply with EHS regulations and policies and escalate concerns/suggestions to leadership
  • Engage in daily 5s activities
  • Participate in quality control inspections of sub-assemblies and final product
  • Perform other duties such as quality activities, training sessions, and employee activities
