About The Position

As a mattress assembler, you will be responsible for assembling mattresses as outlined in established work instructions using a variety of pneumatic tools. This includes the assembly of Hot Melt Bond (HMB) units, application of various upholstered layers, and final mattress assembly. You will also inspect mattress components and finished units for unacceptable flaws or structural defects.

Requirements

• Must stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer in overtime situations.
• Must be able to lift heavy product or raw materials up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour.
• Must be able to comprehend and follow work instructions and production tickets.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions and communicate clearly with coworkers and management.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mattresses as outlined in established work instructions using a variety of pneumatic tools.
• Assemble Hot Melt Bond (HMB) units on the HMB machine.
• Apply various specified upholstered layers to HMB and open coil units.
• Inspect mattress components and finished units for unacceptable flaws or structural defects.
