About The Position

We are looking for an Assembler to join our Greenwood, IN facility on a 3rd shift schedule. What You’ll Do: Assembles assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with established procedures, standards and blueprint production Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners Disassembles, re-works or salvages scrap parts Operates drill presses, hand drills, clicker press or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation May operate forklift upon completing certification requirements Performs spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards; Removes small quantities of metal to produce a smooth finish Inspects product for quality defects including but not limited to: missing brackets, damaged brackets, incorrect artwork, screw gauges, etc. What You’ll Need: High School diploma or equivalent 1-3 months related experience and/or training Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed Ability to set-up and operate a Rivet Machine; input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
  • Ability to set-up and operate a Rivet Machine; input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
