About The Position

Join our team as a Production Assembler I at PGT Custom Windows and Doors! This posting is for all shifts available. You'll work in our Glass Plant, focusing on the handling, preparation, and processing of glass used in our windows and doors while following safe work practices and supporting high-quality production. This is a hands-on, team-driven role that plays a key part in keeping our glass operations running efficiently and safely.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Standing for 8-12 hours per shift.
  • Frequent walking, bending, stooping, and squatting.
  • Frequent reaching, pushing, and pulling away from the body.
  • Lifting and moving up to 90 lbs unassisted.
  • Frequent repetitive movements with hands, feet, head, and neck.
  • Exposure to variable temperatures, dust, and noise.
  • Steel-toe safety shoes, eye and ear protection, and PPE required at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate basic equipment and machines while completing routine tasks by following clear instructions.
  • Follow established processes to complete daily operational tasks within defined standards.
  • Support quality by adhering to strict quality requirements.
  • Always follow mandatory safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work according to your assigned schedule and maintain good attendance.
  • Continuously develop skills through training, coaching, and assessments.
  • Take ownership of your work, communicate effectively, and address issues promptly.
  • Contribute to the team's success-seek input, help others, and value collaboration.
  • Consistently meet production goals, even under challenging conditions.
  • Use clear communication skills to share ideas and request actions under supervision.
  • Learn how to optimize plant equipment and resources for efficient production.
  • Help identify problems in the production process and select appropriate solutions under supervision.
  • Assist in identifying and managing risks within production processes
