About the position
Join Our Seasonal Team! We are hiring a seasonal Production Artist! This position will start immediately and come to an end in October. Pay: $17.00 per hour. The regular work schedule is Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. As a Production Artist you will use graphic design software to create virtual concepts for various products, such as banners, cards, flyers, composites, ID cards and albums. You will be responsible for developing the overall layout and production design to meet customer's needs and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Use design software to create product designs to meet customer needs and specifications, while ensuring the file meets quality standards and will not be problematic to print
- Effectively communicate with potential and existing clients about existing and new order requests via phone and email
- Use internal software to enter new orders, track orders and bill order
- Maintain organized files
- Communicate with other department team members about in house orders
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Computer fluency in Mac and PC. This position will primarily use a Mac but will also have access to a virtual PC for lab-specific software.
- Ability to use current versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Bridge
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to learn and operate more extensive computer programs (DP2, hhStudio, hhschools, Genesis, MicroArt, etc.)
- Exercise good judgment in manipulating the formal elements of product design and visual communication
- Communicate properly and effectively with customers, supervisors and team members
- Prioritize, organize, and plan work under own initiative
- Maintain an efficient and organized work area
- Flexible/adaptable to constant change
- Two or more years’ experience working with Photoshop and InDesign software is preferred
- Experience with photographic and photo finishing manufacturing is preferred
