About The Position

We are seeking a dependable Production Area Leader to support our packaging operations. The Area Leader monitors process compliance and productivity in designated areas of the production department.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to read and understand work orders and packaging specs in English
Ability to perform basic math
Ability to communicate and give instruction to employees in both verbal and written form
Leadership skills with the ability to take charge of a given situation
Ability to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office
Ability to demonstrate full understanding of production flow process

Responsibilities

Ability to demonstrate full understanding of production flow process.
Oversees the running and completion of all assigned work orders.
Moves labor to complete the production aging list.
Monitors and reconciles open orders on a daily basis.
Gives proper instructions to packagers according to the specific job.
Enforces HLM rules and regulations.
Communicates with Production Manager & Supervisor pertaining to daily jobs.
Communicates material overage / shortages with warehouse.
Performs quality checks.
Coordinates material flow at the production line.
Maintains neatness of work area.
Promotes safe work environment.
Assist in training new employees.
Record, notify and report unsafe working conditions immediately to department supervisor.
