About The Position
The Production Analyst position at Hilcorp Energy Company is a full-time role based in Houston, TX, focused on maintaining, implementing, and reporting the production of oil and gas within both operated and non-operated fields. The analyst will be responsible for reporting production data to the appropriate Federal and State agencies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and working closely with asset teams, field personnel, and revenue departments to ensure accurate allocations. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The essential responsibilities include preparing, monitoring, and maintaining oil and gas allocations, as well as overseeing data entry related to oil and gas volumes, end-of-month stocks, chart integrations, and crude oil run tickets. The analyst will monitor production volumes of the company's operated properties to ensure that revenues are accurately received and recorded. Collaboration with field operators and asset teams is crucial to address any issues related to allocated production, and maintaining professional relationships with all levels of field personnel is essential. Additionally, the Production Analyst will prepare State and Federal production reports, file necessary state well tests, and handle limited regulatory paperwork. The role also involves monitoring and resolving compliance issues associated with production audits and third-party audits. The analyst will become proficient in understanding field flows and production allocation software, enabling them to resolve issues and set up flows for less complex systems in the production accounting system. They will also prepare partner reports and monitor third-party oil and gas statements on operated properties.
