Summary of Position The Product Verification (PV) Test Engineering Intern will perform product verification activities including test execution, protocol/ plan development, data collection/analysis, and test fixture design. This role will work directly with the healthcare team to support the design and development of medical devices.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, with hands-on experience using standard laboratory equipment (e.g., to evaluate tensile/compression forces, fluid leaks, pressure delta, dosage delivery accuracy, sound, etc.)
  • Inherent curiosity to diagnose and resolve issues, with familiarity in debugging and troubleshooting technical problems.
  • Root cause analysis and recreation of failure mode.
  • Familiarity with various sensors, their functions, and methods of interaction.
  • Major(s): Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
  • Class Year(s): Rising Junior, Rising Senior
  • GPA: Min 3.0
  • Availability: Must be available to work in St. Petersburg Florida from May 18, 2026– Aug 7, 2026

Responsibilities

  • Support testing from setup through execution; communicate status with PV manager.
  • Collect and Analyze test data, and document in test reports; share results with the team to understand trends and failures
  • Support text fixture design for test optimization/efficiency/modularity (utilizing tools such as LabVIEW and SolidWorks)
  • Conduct root cause investigations of technical issues
  • Assist with test sample management, including preparing samples for testing, tracking test execution status for individual samples, and quarantining samples as needed after test completion.
