We believe that our differences enable us to be a better team – one that makes better decisions, drives innovation and delivers better business results.   Opportunity Overview The Product Integration and Verification Group is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Product Verification Engineer to support our new products team in North Reading, MA. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement advanced test concepts and systems for leading-edge innovations in silicon photonics and computing technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure new products meet functional, performance, and manufacturability goals.

Requirements

  • BSEE, BS Optical Engineering, MSEE, or MSCE.
  • 5+ years of experience as a design or verification engineer focused on optical engineering or digital instrumentation (8+ years preferred).
  • Test development and product verification.
  • Optical engineering experience, including design and lab-based verification.
  • Exposure to electro-optical system design, assembly, and photonics component alignment.
  • Strong working knowledge of optical engineering.
  • Object-oriented programming; proficiency in C/C++/C# preferred.
  • Experience with IGXL and UltraFlex Plus systems.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting manufacturing release and customer support is a plus.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and management audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated test concepts and methodologies to verify functionality and performance of new instrumentation products.
  • Design and verify optical instrumentation in both lab settings and integrated optical test cells.
  • Develop and validate calibration and test processes for customer use and Teradyne manufacturing.
  • Create, debug, verify, and release product verification and production tests and supporting software.
  • Support the successful transfer of new products into production.
  • Collaborate across engineering functions to execute an efficient and effective product integration and verification plan.
