About The Position

The Emerson Test & Measurement Platform Software organization is seeking an Interaction Designer for application software products. As a member of a product team, Interaction Designers collaborate frequently with UX leads, other designers, usability specialists, product managers, and engineers to implement designs in an agile/scrum software development environment. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: We are looking for designers who are passionate about user interfaces, user-centered design, accessibility, creativity, and pixel-precise detail. This position requires strong communication skills, excellent design intuition, a passion for creating exquisitely detailed designs, and a fluent understanding of how customer interactions translate into products. Interaction Designers are responsible for a range of deliverables, including: Conceptual designs Design specifications Interactive prototypes Collaborating with and aligning a variety of stakeholders to build intuitive products Who You Are: You communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical partners. You apply sound design judgment to transform complex interactions into intuitive experiences while maintaining attention to detail. You work collaboratively across teams, balance multiple priorities, and bring creativity and curiosity to your design approach. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in UX Design or a related field At least two years of previous work experience in a creative role A portfolio displaying your design work Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Suite Comprehensive design skills and an understanding of design principles The ability to visually analyze form and simplify into appealing concepts Ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects and multiple teams Strong communication skills (both oral and written) Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: A general desire for creative influences, whether musical, visual, or otherwise Experience working with complex systems involving a mixture of both hardware and software Experience using and contributing to a design system Familiarity with educational, scientific, technical, or engineering products Familiarity with and curiosity about modern AI trends Some experience conducting user research to help validate assumptions and designs Our Culture and Commitment To You: At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design or a related field
