The Product Training Specialist will assist with conducting technical training, content building, and field documentation for Pierce and Oshkosh Airport Product lines. This role will include determination of appropriate training content, necessary service diagnostics, and correct procedural repairs of these product lines. The use of specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, and update training materials, project documents, and field reports will be required. YOUR IMPACT: These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in heavy truck operation and maintenance
  • Ability to travel up to 60%
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting training to a variety of audiences
  • Experience with fire apparatus
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Knowledge and experience with Pierce or Oshkosh Airport Product vehicles
  • Understanding of Strategy Based Diagnostics

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical instruction, both presentation based and hands on, to an audience of customers on various vehicle platforms.
  • Assist in the curriculum development of course content by providing technical support and vehicle knowledge.
  • Work in conjunction with departments to ensure proper procedures and communications are followed.
  • Interface with engineering to bring information forward to the customers.
  • Field questions related to training content
  • Work with safety teams to promote best practices.
  • Document effective summaries of training events to provide feedback.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments of Vocational to maintain certification knowledge.
  • Assist in training material updates by providing procedural change information necessary to maintain currency of course materials.
