About The Position

The Product Test Engineer II at Raytheon plays a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing team throughout various phases of the product life cycle. This position focuses on validating hardware compliance with technical requirements, troubleshooting test failures, and enhancing test processes to improve efficiency and capacity. The engineer will lead projects aimed at reducing test time and will be responsible for maintaining technical documentation and conducting risk assessments.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
  • Creation and maintenance of spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
  • Creation of Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs for additional capacity and new capabilities.
  • Leads projects to reduce test time and improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics.
  • Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
  • Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package including drawings and test instructions.
  • Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis, and repair of the product or test equipment.
  • Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings.
  • Performs risk assessments and supports the programs risk register reviews.
  • Leads projects and is responsible for execution.
