As a leading water technology company with 23,000 employees operating in over 150 countries, Xylem is at the forefront of addressing the world's most critical water challenges. We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions. Xylem is seeking a Product Sustainability Intern to join our Sustainability team. In this role, you will focus on improving specific parts of our data collection processes to support our supply chain and engineering functions. This work will equip our teams with the data and insights needed to establish baselines for key sustainability and circularity metrics. Responsibilities will include mapping the current state, collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders to identify required data points and process improvements, and developing standardized workflows and templates—always keeping data resolution, accuracy, and usefulness at the center. Optional extension: As a second part of the internship, you may apply the collected data to develop product‑level sustainability metrics. Xylem Internships typically last 10–12 weeks and are an opportunity to get hands‑on, professional experience while making a lasting contribution to Xylem as an organization. Our internship program is intended to create a pipeline of talented undergraduate students who are interested in a career in the water innovation technology industry. Interns are our primary talent pool for all full‑time early career positions and rotational programs. The hourly rate for an intern is dependent on a variety of factors including major, year in school, and geographic location. In this role, you may spend time reviewing existing sustainability data and workflows, meeting with engineers and supply chain partners to understand data needs, analyzing and validating datasets, and developing documentation or templates that improve future reporting. You will also have opportunities to prepare presentations, share insights with stakeholders, and contribute to meaningful product sustainability and circular economy initiatives that support Xylem’s mission to solve water challenges around the world. Xylem does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use. Our products impact public utilities, industrial sectors, residential areas, and commercial buildings, with a commitment to providing smart metering, network technologies, and advanced analytics for water, electric, and gas utilities. Partner with us in creating a world where water challenges are met with ingenuity and dedication; where we recognize the power of inclusion and belonging in driving innovation and allowing us to compete more effectively around the world.
