About The Position

TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc. is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of 2nd shift Product Surface Prep at our Shell Rock, IA facility.
As a member of the Product Surface Prep team at Trinity, you’ll operate hand tools or equipment to prepare interior and exterior product surfaces for coating operations. You’ll operate automated blast system or hand-held grit blast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, paint, and dirt.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

• Operates tools or equipment to prepare interior and exterior product surface for coating operations.
• Operates automated blast system and hand held grit ball blast equipment to remove scale, corrosion, paint and dirt.
• Follows all safety rules and practices
• Proficiently operate automated blast system or hand blast system
• Purge surfaces of all chemicals and contaminates through simple processes
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
