About The Position

This Product Support Specialist role provides technical support regarding all drilling/material handling products and services, to meet growth initiatives with focus on improvement of customer satisfaction. Effectively communicating and working with all Epiroc groups while providing best in class technical support for all internal and external customers are critical to success. This role will be based in the US with possible international travel for training opportunities. In all situations an emphasis on personal health and safety must be maintained. The work environment is commensurate with the mining and mineral extraction industries. This position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Requirements

  • Suitable combination of related education and industry related experience is preferred.
  • Credentialed technical abilities or abilities to achieve Epiroc technical credentials post-employment.
  • Experience/proven knowledge of mining and technology applications.
  • Industrial/commercial fluid power, mechanical, low voltage electrical, intelligent machine control, high precision navigation, autonomous/ remote operation, data collection/ offboarding and CAN Bus control systems along with working knowledge of diesel/ electric motors and rotary screw compressor systems would also be an advantage.
  • Ability to complete Epiroc two level training certification in 30 days and 90 days respectively.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office suite, internet, file management as well as proven experience with company-based specialty software applications.
  • A self-starter equally able to work with a team or independently.
  • High level communication skills are an absolute must have, that include technical report writing, verbal and written methods.

Responsibilities

  • Support of direct customers, company service centers and dealer network to meet, safety, technical, engineering and training support needs on all technology products for new equipment and aftermarket.
  • Offer warranty technical support for dealers and service centers, emphasizing product improvement and vendor cost recovery of warranty expenses.
  • Coordinate with the Epiroc USA aftermarket stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and sustainable business relationships.
  • Understand the application of the products and the ever-changing environmental challenges to the application design, requiring problem solving on an application design level to maximize machine performance.
  • Maintain Epiroc quality, cultural and ethics standards through training and mentoring service center and dealer personnel with courteous and professional communication at all times.
