About the position
Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C. is hiring a Product Support Representative, focused on Power Systems Data Center business. The Product Support Representative position is responsible for maximizing the sale of parts and service capabilities by calling on customers in an assigned territory. The individual in this role demonstrates initiative, commitment to teamwork, enthusiasm for customer service, and dedication for finding solutions in an efficient manner. Seeking candidates with at least two years of experience in the power systems industry, preferred. Demonstrated success in a sales environment, preferred. College degree in a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maximize the sale of parts and service capabilities by calling on customers in an assigned territory.
- Demonstrate initiative and commitment to teamwork.
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong internal and external relationships.
- Service existing customers with periodic scheduled visits and effectively prospect potential new customers.
- Evaluate facts and maintain good judgment when making decisions.
- Adapt to changing technology and self-develop.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in the power systems industry.
- Demonstrated success in a sales environment.
- College degree in a related field preferred.
- Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
- Excellent customer satisfaction skills.
- Strong PC skills.
- Good listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
