About The Position

The Product Support Engineering (Associate or Mid-Level) position(s) in Oklahoma City, OK will be part of the organization that provides sustainment and modification support to the USAF (United States Air Force) to help maintain and sustain its fleet of Boeing 747 aircraft. This position will be a part of the E-4B team that evaluates airframe requirements, researches equipment, parts, materials and tools to support sustainment and maintenance; resolve a wide range of technical and operational issues; and work closely with the Air Force and Government customers to ensure the continued safe operation of the fleet. The successful candidate will focus on engineering part substitution reviews for the fleet; evaluate aircraft and component Service Literature (i.e. Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, etc.); assist with scheduling upon receipt of Air Force disposition; and resolve a wide range of technical and operational issues to ensure the continued safe operation of the fleet. This position will also interpret and analyze engineering data, reliability and maintainability data, and evaluate engineering changes to support customer requests. This position will work horizontally with other functions across The Boeing Company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 1+ years of experience in reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals.
  • 2+ years of experience working with aircraft drawings, specifically commercial derivative aircraft.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on 747 aircraft, specifically USAF 747 fleets.

Responsibilities

  • Review engineering drawings to determine part effectivity and applicability, engage with Boeing Commercial Service Engineering to document part usage on the fleet.
  • Be a part of a multi-disciplined and cross geographical team to ensure customer contractual requirements are met.
  • Prepares routine communications and presentation material for dissemination to internal and external customers.
  • Evaluates engineering changes based on customer requirements and proposes program changes and manages implementation of changes
  • Maintain awareness of operational activities and aircraft on the ground maintenance events.
  • Provide support for operator recovery plans for operational disruptions due to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
  • Conducts research on advanced technical, operational and quality issues
  • Defines, evaluates and maintains engineering supportability, operability and maintainability requirements for products, systems and programs.
  • Research and analyze systems and components to identify issues and corrective actions.
  • Supports a wide range of technical and operational issues associated with depot maintenance and repair.
