Monroe’s Engineers report to the site Engineering Manager and support all site functions; resolving production stoppages and ensuring repairs are completed in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements. Proactive problem solving is essential, so the candidate must not be afraid to deal with ambiguity and management of change. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Experience in fabrication, operations, installation and/or repair of mechanical and electrical products
  • Hands on experience with Electrical/Mechanical troubleshooting

  • Willing and able to adapt to a safety focused environment and strictly observe company/state/federal policies
  • Experience in the design and maintenance of modern control systems
  • Business acumen and knowledge with continuous improvement / lean tools and practices.
  • 3+ years engineering experience
  • Strong teamwork and collaborative with other functional groups
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Supports shop activities by providing technical clarity on repair manuals.
  • Supports other operations functions as required to facilitate product repair
  • Utilize systemic problem solving to drive process improvements and troubleshoot issues related to product and test equipment
  • Develop plans for inspection, tear down, fault isolation, and lead local investigations related to product discrepancies
  • Use engineering principles to design fixtures/tools to enhance or aid production
  • Identify problems and conduct root cause analyses to determine corrective actions and validate solutions
  • Coordinate implementation of Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Service Letters, and other technical data
  • Ability to be flexible (change priorities as needed), hands-on, analytical and intuitive
  • Must be able to provide technical support for multiple repair shops across a variety of product types
  • Develops and partners with technicians to provide technical training
  • Support facility’s cost control goals through improvement projects
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of site equipment
  • Update and develop site technical data to support product repairs and machine maintenance
