About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is hiring for Entry or Associate Level Product Support Engineers (Support Planning) to support the Derivatives Support Equipment Team in Tukwila, WA. This team manages all Ground Support Equipment requirements from cradle to grave for commercial derivative programs such as KC-46, VC-25B, and E-7. The role involves joining the logistics team, performing activities like developing system and program requirements for Ground Support Equipment, interacting with customers and suppliers on field issues, and managing projects from requirements definition through procurement, including contract proposals. The successful candidate should enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic environment and possess a positive and flexible mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Ability to travel domestically/internationally
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support or Product Support
  • 1+ years of experience with managing projects
  • Experience with systems requirements analysis, management, and validation/verification
  • Experience with government proposals
  • Experience with large military or commercial aircraft systems and operations

Responsibilities

  • Researches and provides technical information and engineering data used to produce requirements to develop and maintain Ground Support Equipment
  • Analyze system and maintenance data to determine ground support equipment requirements
  • Responds to customer and supplier inquiries regarding equipment interchangeability, configuration management, maintainability, and technical data clarification
  • Provides Engineering and on-site technical assistance related to ground support equipment
  • Coordinates across functions and business units to ensure project success
  • Analyzes contract proposals and develops Basis of Estimate (BOE)
  • Supports meetings and coordination with the US Air Force and foreign militaries for support equipment development, contract proposals, procurement, and sustainment projects
  • Responds to service requests and Ground Support Equipment licensee inquiries, using knowledge gained from learned engineering principles combined with exposure to practical experience
