About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Product Support Engineer, to support the MH-139/CH-47 platform in Ridley Park, PA. As a member of the MxE Engineering team, you will analyze engineering drawings and LSA, develop and maintain technical data in a logistics product database, develop graphics, and develop instructions for maintenance procedures. Candite should be able to apply engineering technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to provide product support engineering and analysis to ensure supportability, sustainability, reliability, repairability, maintainability and operability of products and services throughout its lifecycle. Influences product definition, design, and configuration. Defines, evaluates, and maintains engineering supportability, maintainability and operability requirements for products, systems and programs. Analyzes data to produce support, flight operation, and maintenance equipment requirements. Evaluates engineering changes based on customer requirements and proposes program changes and manages implementation of changes. Manages, plans, research, develops, analyzes, and designs modification and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, Safety and company requirements. Establishes planning and design criteria to develop innovative, integrated support and maintenance infrastructure. Ensures continued airworthiness. Provides engineering and on-site technical assistance to customer’s products, and coordinates and supports proposal development.

Requirements

  • Experience gathering, preparing, and analyzing engineering/technical data.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Detail oriented and proven problem-solving skills.
  • IPDM/Teamcenter experience

Nice To Haves

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to communicate knowledge of customer support and company processes in a diverse workplace.
  • Experience using a structured, relational database such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, or SLICwave.
  • Basic knowledge of Department of Defense standards such as MIL-STD-1388-2B or GEIA-STD-0007 and S1000D.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering/technical drawings and parts lists to develop top-down breakdown lists of aircraft subsystems.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft maintenance and/or supply chain functions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering data and change proposals for support products engineering impacts and incorporate those approved changes into the logistics and authoring database.
  • Investigate, analyze, and document data for support products requirements by using engineering drawings, specifications, regulations, and field experience.
  • Apply knowledge of individual customer requirements, product configuration, maintenance manuals, and procedures.
  • The candidate will interface regularly with military customers, equipment suppliers, and Boeing engineering and manufacturing organizations to ensure delivery of support products.
