You'll perform responsibilities with supervision from the product manager or senior manager. You will support Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) growth by contributing to the development and execution of product strategy, while delivering best-in-class SMA client service and comprehensive SMA field sales support. You'll ensure SMA products are appropriately positioned, and the product strategy is effectively executed. You'll also be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of key broad/cross function initiatives related to products and services. “I am the person Capital Group is looking for."

Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of SMA or relevant financial services product management experience.
  • You have a bachelor's degree; an advanced degree (MBA or other) a plus.
  • You have an interest and knowledge of product construction, rules and regulations.
  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze opportunities/issues and to recommend business solutions.
  • You can extract meaningful insights from large quantities of data and represent findings to various stakeholders.
  • You can effectively lead and facilitate a variety of meetings.
  • You have the ability to build internal networks, collaborate effectively, and influence groups and more senior associates.

Nice To Haves

  • Holding a Series 7, 63 or 66 license is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as a SMA subject matter expert for the organization.
  • Participates in assigned projects and business initiatives that impact the product line and are in support of key business priorities.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams to drive enhancements to existing offerings.
  • Provides input to project timeline and resource requirements.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to cross functional partners and provides input on product rollout plans, go-to-market strategies, and sales force training; contributes to execution of go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitors and escalates changes to project plan based on business risks and issues , gathers data for manager or senior manager to assess all risk areas and magnitude of impact.
  • Contributes to prioritization of product-related initiatives.
  • Assesses business, product, and client impacts resulting from potential changes related to product construction, fees/pricing, operational policies, service model, and sales and marketing approach.
  • Maintains firm-specific intelligence and stays informed about industry competitive landscape and trends to shape SMA product strategy.
  • Supports SMA onboarding efforts with sponsor firms by managing the end‑to‑end process from initial opportunities through contract negotiations and final execution.
  • Leads small-to-medium-scale projects and assigned business initiatives impacting the product line and in support of strategic priorities.
  • Effectively navigates the organization to support the SMA client experience, driving quick resolution of open cases such as fixed income customization, account sub-minimum requests, dual contract onboarding, and account errors.
